1Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Loci (the “Platform”), operated by Tri Styles LLC (“we,” “us,” or “Loci”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform, including Business Owners, their staff, and Clients who book appointments.

2Description of Service

Loci is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) scheduling and business management platform designed for beauty and service businesses, including salons, spas, barbershops, studios, and similar establishments.

The Platform serves two primary user types:

  • Business Owners — who subscribe to Loci to manage appointments, staff, clients, services, payments, and business operations.
  • Clients — who use the Platform to book appointments with businesses. No account is required for Clients to book.

3Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Platform as a Business Owner. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share your password with others
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Each account is associated with one organization. Accounts may not be transferred or assigned to another person or entity without our prior written consent.

4Subscription & Billing

  • All new accounts begin with a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start your trial.
  • After the trial period, your subscription will be billed on a monthly recurring basis via Stripe.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Platform through the end of your current billing period.
  • No refunds are issued for partial months of service.
  • All subscription tiers are all-inclusive. There are no hidden fees, no add-on gating, and no marketplace commissions — ever.
  • Loci may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice via email or platform notification. Continued use after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance.

5Business Owner Responsibilities

As a Business Owner using Loci, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and up-to-date service descriptions, pricing, and availability information
  • Managing staff permissions and access levels within your organization
  • The stewardship of client data collected through the Platform, including obtaining appropriate consent from your clients
  • Compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including business licensing, tax obligations, and industry regulations
  • Setting and enforcing your own cancellation policies, no-show policies, and booking terms
  • Ensuring that your staff members comply with these Terms when using the Platform

6Client Booking Terms

  • No account is required for Clients to book appointments through Loci.
  • Cancellation policies and no-show fees are set by the individual business, not by Loci. Clients should review the business's policies before booking.
  • Appointment confirmations, reminders, and status updates are sent on behalf of the business via email and/or SMS.
  • By booking an appointment, Clients agree to receive transactional messages related to their bookings.

7SMS/Text Messaging Program

Loci sends transactional text messages on behalf of businesses using the Platform. These messages include:

  • Appointment confirmations
  • Booking reminders
  • Schedule changes
  • Cancellation notices
  • Status updates (e.g., “Your stylist is ready!”)

Message frequency varies based on appointment activity. Message and data rates may apply. Loci supports all major US carriers.

Reply STOP to cancel messages at any time. Reply HELP for help.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or booking.

Loci facilitates two types of messages on behalf of salon businesses: (1) Transactional messages directly related to appointments, account activity, and service updates, sent automatically; and (2) Promotional messages initiated by the salon owner to opted-in clients through Loci's campaign tools. Recipients may opt out of promotional messages at any time by replying STOP. Transactional messages related to active appointments cannot be opted out of while the appointment is scheduled.

8Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Engage in any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform without our prior written consent
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform, servers, or networks connected to the Platform
  • Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
  • Send unsolicited communications or spam through the Platform (note: salon owners may send promotional campaigns to clients who have opted in to receive marketing messages)

9Intellectual Property

The Platform, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, and other content, is owned by Tri Styles LLC and protected by United States and international intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all content and data you upload to the Platform, including business information, client records, service descriptions, and images. By uploading content, you grant Loci a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Platform's services.

10Data Ownership & Portability

Business Owners retain ownership of their organizational data, including client records, appointment history, financial records, and business configurations.

Data export functionality is available through the Platform. Upon account termination, you will have a 30-day window to export your data before it is permanently deleted.

11Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services to provide core functionality, including but not limited to:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Twilio — SMS delivery
  • Resend — email delivery

Loci is not responsible for outages, service interruptions, or changes to third-party services. Your use of third-party services through the Platform is also subject to those services' own terms and conditions.

12AI-Powered Features

Loci offers optional AI-powered intake features using Anthropic Claude. These features assist with client intake assessments and consultation workflows.

  • When AI features are used, client data may be processed by third-party AI services (Anthropic) for the purpose of generating intake assessments.
  • Users will be informed before any personal data is sent to AI services for processing.
  • AI features can be disabled entirely by the Business Owner at any time.
  • AI-processed data is used only to generate intake assessments and is not used to train AI models.

13Service Availability

We strive to maintain reasonable uptime and availability of the Platform. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
  • Unscheduled emergency maintenance
  • Events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, internet disruptions, government actions, or acts of third parties (force majeure)

Loci does not provide a service level agreement (SLA) guarantee at this time.

14Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRI STYLES LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FEES PAID BY YOU TO LOCI IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

15Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE AVAILABLE ON AN UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE BASIS, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

16Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tri Styles LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights
  • Content or data you upload, store, or transmit through the Platform

17Account Termination

  • Either party may terminate your account at any time for any reason.
  • Loci reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • Upon termination, you will have a 30-day window to export your data before it is permanently deleted.
  • Account deletion is available through in-app settings or by emailing support@locibooking.com. Web-based deletion is also available for users who have uninstalled the app.

18Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email and/or platform notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Material changes will be clearly highlighted.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform and close your account.

19Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Informal Resolution: Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, you agree to contact us at support@locibooking.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Binding Arbitration: If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in the State of California.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Small Claims Exception: Either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court.

20Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.

21Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tri Styles LLC regarding your use of the Platform. These Terms supersede any prior agreements or communications between you and Loci regarding the Platform.
